LUX bulbs?

Just looking at the Lux bulb install instructions...drilling holes in the headlight assembly?? Wut?!
That's gonna be the last thing I do... Guess I'll reconsider those RD LEDs...

Not the headlight assy. The cover for the assy. I'm sure it's like a $3 part.

I'll hopefully get pictures as soon as i can find someone close to CT that has a 1 series. I dont know of anyone in the CT area with one.

Well... i think i may hold on on releasing these for the 1 series. They do fit and they look good, but i want them to look more even in the light distribution. Trying to get ahold of a headlight now to improve upon the design.

The set up for the 1ers headlights make that a tough task to tackle. I wish you all the luck there mds82.

I look forward to seeing how you managed to even out the light distribution. If you have managed to do so, and they are still visible during the day, then I would be in for them.

He figured out an important technical difference between our headlight and the e9x one. It affects the way light enters and brightens the rings. My hope is that he found the best solution.

That light distribution is awesome. Good job man. You basically have my money already but all I need is some day time pics.

Wow, assuming passenger side is stock, the light distribution when the car is on (and when it counts) seems better than stock. Based on these pics, it looks like these are a success in this department.

The final test now is brightness & visibility in direct sunlight. Looking forward to pics of those!

Thanks! ya he came down late in the day after the sun had already started to go down. It was actually pretty bright though in the day, i just had taken the pictures very dark so you can actually see what the angel eyes look like.

It was actually brighter outside then the first picture looks.-
---this is how bright it actually was when i took the pictures.
