I hate to be the party-pooper, but these have "been in development" since at least Oct 2008. I placed my order with the original manufacturer, angelibright.com, during that month. For eight months I was told the same thing by angelibright that Tom@eas is saying here in this thread - "Not at the moment, but I can promise very soon." Needless to say, I lost my patience, especially when I had already coughed up $300. I got my refund and went with the RD angels and saved $200 bucks in the process. The angelibright guys just don't seem to be very motivated to finish these, as they sounded more and more complacent everytime I made my monthly call to check on my order. Don't hold your breath for these, as you may turn blue! (can you tell I'm a disappointed customer)

If seeing the kit on our own 1er is not good enough, I'm not sure what is.

Gentlemen, we'll simply create a new thread when closer to completion to reduce the chance of blanketwetter posts like these.

Thanks to those that have shown interest, I'll post an update with some new shots tonight.

Yeah, but the reason it hasn't been released is that Angelibright cannot defeat the "bulb out" warning. They've been working on this for a year! I'm not going to lie, your picture looks fantastic, and I really wish I had those bulbs on my car (I've seen them in person on E46 M's, and they are the brightest angels I've ever seen, three times brighter than the RD's I have now), but you must have a product that works completely, with no "bulb out" warning and all. After 8 months of waiting, Angelibright lost my business and they have still not delivered.

There isn't a bulb-out error, never was. However new heatsinks are needed for the 1 as well as a different bulbcheck system is used than on other BMW vehicles. Most of the R&D is completed, I wouldn't feel comfortable with an inferior or half-finished product out there due to impatience.

As stated before, we'll get some more product shots tonight to ease the pain a bit.

I'm just repeating what was told to me by the guys at Angelibright. If it isn't true, than great.

Besides, paying $300 and getting nothing in return for close to a year doesn't fall into the realm of inpatient. If anything, I was too patient, especially with their oft repeated promises of "We're about 2 weeks away. Call back then."

BTW, this was angelibright.com I had my order with, not EAS, so please don't confuse to who I am referring. I do not mean to sound like I am complaining about EAS. I've never dealt with EAS personally and have no reason to speak ill of them.

Everything that is "white" will not show under the sun. Because your angel eyes' are made out of plastic, its extremely hard to see a white light when it is bright outside. If you go with a slightly tinted color..like blue, you can see a bit of it under daylight.

Were you able to get more shots of the product.. its been weeks. By the way, when you said that most of the R&D is completed what does that actually mean? I hear that a lot and it sounds like FLUFF but I trust that your product should be out sometime this year hopefully!!! If so, and decently priced, I will be the first one to buy

Thanks for posting - It completely slipped my mind. Here's some more pics:

Now that the e92 AiB kits are finalized, we can get back to work on the 1.

Easy for you to say; you weren't out $300 since last October during your wait.*

Yeah man, I hear ya...sorry about my post, i didnt mean it like that. I just meant the wait that they've been talked about on the boards in this thread...I have the EFX ones and am disappointed in the quality..they were nice, but I didnt like the uneven brightness and i think it got more uneven and dim over time..I switched back to the stock lights..hopefully these come out soon.

HID H8

Hey guys!

Just read in the beginning of this thread about people putting HIDs in their angel eyes. I've had mine since summer of 2008. They're some japanese H8 HIDs 7500k hooked up with some kind of voltage converter. Sorry not much help there haha. No problems with them at all and I have driven for the longest of 8 hours in them and no heating problems of any sort. Very reliable. I love them. It brings out the car alot. Just thought I'd share. As for brightest angels out for the 1. I think this comes close

Nice! I want! Where'd you buy them? Do you have the name of the manufacturer?
