Mixin' RFTs with V12s

Ok, it's a stupid question, but i've ruined two 245/35 Hankook V12s at the autox and need to do some tire changing. I won't buy any more v12s. But I've two perfectly fine 275/35/19 Hankook V12s and don't really want to toss them and two perfectly fine stock 245/35/18 RE050 rfts. Light bulbs flash and a thought...

What would i find if i put the rfts on the front with the v12s on the rear? Probably wouldn't matter much for street driving, but i'm guessing HPDE would be dicey. I think autox would be a good place to do some scientific experimentation.

Has anyone tried such folly?

Why not? So they tires handle differently at the limit. How's mixing tires any different than changing to fatter tires up front or altering the car from a staggered set up to square setup?

Wouldn't you just learn it's new characteristics and move on?

They're not just different tread patterns or wear levels. You'll have 2 structurally different types of tires on the car. I wouldn't do it, but feel free to test it out and let us know how it works. The only point to having runcraps is in case they go flat, but it half your tires need a spare or a tow then there's really not much reason to use runcraps at all except that you're cheap.

lol. yeah, it's cheapo test with only 8 weeks left of driving events this season. i wouldn't do this for hpde, but for autox, why not try it out? the car understeers, this is a test to reduce understeer with grippier tires up front and sh*tty rfts out back, some brainiac must've tried it and know scientifically why it's a bad idea, if not, i may find out soon enough.
