It is just a fix it. But I need someplace to take it off. Then put some new one on after I get it signed off.

My brother got a tint ticket once and he actually took it off himself. The tint hadn't even been on the car for a year or so. You can do it on your own if your'e patient enough with it. He used a razor sort of thing and a spray for removing tint which is similar to goo-gone

Hey Alex, I put the tint receit in the owner's manual leather case. Solar eclipse is the shop I got the tint done at. They will remove it for free just show receit. Or you can pay $140 to keep your tint

I would rather just pay the ticket and keep it rather than take it off and putting it back on. Im gonna call the court and see what the process is to do that.
Thanks for the info Andy! I think i'll do that.

You pay the fine at the court's traffic window (rather than getting it signed off) and you get to keep your tint and the ticket goes away. I've have done this once before.

Really. Do i have to go on the date on the ticket, or can I go anytime? And do you recall how much exactly it was?

You mentioned your from Vegas, Do you still have Nevada plates on your car or did you switch to cali? Just wondering because I am going to be living in SoCal and my car has FL plate on it so I hope to avoid the strict tinting regulations in Cali.

I used to get tint tickets in cali all the time (happens with 2.5% on everything other than the windshield) and it was like 10 or 15 bucks. I never took the tint of though, I just had to have the cops at school sign the ticket to say I removed it.

I don't remember the amount, it was more than $100 though. It varies by court jurisdictions anyway. Again, if you call ahead, you should be able to provide them with the VC section you were cited and they should be able to tell you the fine amount. Good luck getting someone willing to be helpful on the phone. |

Yeah, I'm trying to get a hold of a clerk over the phone, see if I can pay it that way. Rather than taking time off work and going to go do it. But I am having NO luck of getting anyone over the phone.
