there's only so many 1M tunes they could ever hope to sell and I'm sure they are reaching saturation point. Lower price will move a couple more of those.

135 still has a ways to go but $639 is looking really good.

Err...and now prices are back up. I didn’t see this advertised as a limited time thing. Odd strategy.

I know this is an old thread, but I figured I would use this instead of starting a new one. Price is back down. $499 for stage 2 for dealer install, and $599 for DIY kit...

I considered it, but ended up going MHD Stage 1+ with an aftermarket intercooler for about the same price. Car runs awesome and I can switch back to the stock tune in 30 seconds if 94 octane fuel isn't available.

Dinan tune is getting tempting again. I'm wondering if they are planning a "sale" anytime soon?

It’s still hard to imagine picking Dinan, now that MHD is available...especially if you spend the extra on a custom tune from Wedge or Twisted Tuning.

Why is that? If you just want stage 1 & don't own an android anything the cost is almost the same. Why is MHD better?

I see the appeal with MHD. The tuning options and other features makes it pretty compelling. But the reason I've been hesitant to going MHD even with the recent ability to install it on previously locked DMEs is what is going on in this thread:

https://www.1addicts.com/forums/show....php?t=1675359

People can say all they want about how you're not getting the maximum horsepower out of a Dinan tune. But I can say since having it on my car, I've never had a problem with the tune over the 3 or so years I've had it. I'm at a stage in my life where I don't want to be constantly tinkering with my car to solve things such as driveability issues. In my 20's sure, I loved being constantly in my car. Now, I have other things that require my time.

Totally agree. The Dinan tune, especially at these prices, is perfect for a person who wants to set it and forget it.

Agree. The chance that MHD causes some issues is not worth saving ~$100 to me give or take. It looks like the current release of MHD has some weird issues.

Someone with the Dinan tune should dump the bin using MHD if possible.

Looks like it’s back up to $599 for the DIY kit. Any chance of it being lower anytime soon?

Dinan price drop

Looks like Dinan just issued a major price drop for all E8X cars Stage 2 ($249.95 and $349.5) & Stage 3 ($295.95) tunes. :cool!
