Of course I will. I spent all day at work reading yours and ilikebmxbikes conversion threads. I really want to do a conversion on mine, but that will be a ways on down the road. I plan on keeping the car, so it's part of the plan

Yeah, they do. They'd definitely fit better if I didn't have to run the adapter. I could probably do a smaller tire or raise it a bit. Probably going to raise it.

DUDE! Awesome!!! Sooo nice! What a transformation. Best looking 1er so far! Too bad it rubs. Try sticking bumpstops in there and tape them real tight. It will make the car bounce but you will get rid of the rubbing.

Thanks guys! I plan to raise it up a bit, and I talked with the guy that rolled my fenders and we're gonna look at it again whenever I can get back to Atlanta. I plan to keep it at this height because I love the look but hate the rubbing.

I thought about doing bags, and I may eventually. I raised the rear up a bit last night and no more rubbing (only on large bumps or hard cornering, minimal though). Gonna talk to the guy that rolled the fenders this weekend and see what we can do, it isn't low enough for me

I'd recommend griding down the rear fenders, unless that makes you uncomfortable haha.. That's what I did and I don't really have any rubbing issues with an 18x10 et50 and 255/35 tire..

Basically. The hub bore on the wheels is 70.3mm and the hub bore on the car is 72.5mm and sticks out 12mm. So the adapter is 12mm of 72.5mm bore and 2mm of 70.3mm bore making it 14mm.
The reason I did this is because these wheels were built for a c5 corvette and I didn't want to alter the specs. |
