Any of you guys going to get one of these babies even though you rent/do not have covered parking? Im going to have to park outside every night and I feel guilty about it already..

I've only got one covered parking spot and the '69 Coronet's going to stay in it. Sadly, everything else lives outdoors for the forseeable future.

Don't throw a cover on your car unless your car was just washed. That's how you get scratches.

Parallel parking on the street. Painful.
I'm actively looking for alternatives (i.e. asking my neighbors if I can rent space, even a driveway at this point).

As my garage is full, my '99 red E46 has been parked outside for 9 years and still looks great -which I attribute it to Zymol 37% carnauba every 6 months.

parallel parking on the street for me. I hate it, but that $300+ I save every month will pay for a lot of car washes.

What would be a good wax to protect from the elements, especially in the winter. And against bird crap in the summer - leave it sitting on a black car in the summer and you've got problems.

For the next month or so he lives outdoor though covered and beneath a carport, however, the 'back' garage on the alley is being modded to receive the little monster.

As per the previous posts, don't use a cover unless your car is clean, dust will scratch the paint on your pretty little monster.

My car will also be outside under a nice big tree with lots of birds. My car is the car you see on the highway with bird crap from hood to trunk and wonder what is wrong with that guy. I have to wash my car as often as I shave just to keep it somewhat clean. My current car is leased so I could really care less but when I get my new baby there is no way it is getting dirty. Im trying to figure out how to build a car port at the end of the driveway to keep the car nice and safe. Something with a sturdy roof and solid sides but completely open front and back. If I get the car before anything is built then a big blue tarp is hanging between my house and the neighboors house, ghetto style but will keep the bird crap and leaves off the car in the meantime.
