N54 Rear Wastegate Rod Adjustment

Hi everybody,

I tried searching for tips and tricks on how to get the N54 rear waste gate rod adjustment, but I couldn't find any.

From underneath the car, I got the 10mm bolt to loosen - no problem. However, to adjust the 4mm-4.5mm portion, I am having a lot of troubles.

I got the craftsman 4mm and 4.5mm midget wrench. When I turn to a point where the ridge requires the wrench to face upwards or downwards, the pipes, etc. block further adjustment and the midget wrench hits it.

Any advice? Am I using the wrong tool?
