No I am referring to the front rotor. Fits perfectly. It is a 1 piece rotor, so weight is a definite downside. I searched high and wide for a 3 piece, even custom, but there were no good options at the time, and this is a pretty inexpensive option.

The F8X spindles move the caliper out radially (towards the tire tread, not sidewall) an additional 5mm vs the series spindles. So the 340mm Brembo caliper would fit perfectly on a 350mm rotor on the F8X spindle.

Did you adjust the pads at all or they just overhang outside the rotor the extra 6mm? (338mm diameter your rotor vs 350mm ideally)

I was not aware of the additional overhang of the f80 spindle. Thanks for this info. I will check the pad sweep for any overhang next time I'm in there. Operationally, I have had no issues. Originally, I considered turning down an e90 M3 rotor to size, but was not convinced of a decent and safe result.

So, just ordered a new right front 1M knuckle. Bonus, it's much cheaper than the M2 knuckle.

Part number 31212283436.

Let's see what I can do with it.

I should add. One of the final decisions to go this route. Looking at the camber specs, the 1M spec is -1.2 front camber. The 135i is -0.5 degrees. The 1M front lower control arms will add -0.7 camber to a 135i. So, the knuckle itself should not add any camber. So in that regard, this swap is ideal, for me, over the M2 knuckle.

Soooo......this project may get shelved for a bit. An opportunity may have come up for a bigger plan.

Well, got the 1M knuckle in.

Surprisingly, looks like the 1M and M2 knuckles have the same measurement.

I recently found this thread and have been studying the info. Thanks to everyone who shared knowledge and experience with the specific parts.

MightyMouseTech: Any updates on the 128i track car and/or your 135i?

I'm interested in "OEM/OEM+" suspension modifications for my 135is, but keeping the rest of the car as close to factory specs as possible.

This thread is a great motivator. Thanks!
