Wheel Details:

Manufacturing process:
All APEX wheels are flow-formed resulting in a light weight, track and street worthy wheel.
Flow-forming significantly reduces weight in the barrel by rolling the barrel out into it's final shape using large wheels/disks that apply high pressure.
This step is the same step that monoblock forged wheels go through to shape their barrels.
By doing this, the flow-formed wheel's barrel has the same density and strength as a traditional forged wheel.
This significantly reduces rotational mass at the furthest point from the center, which is the most important weight savings area on a wheel.

Fitment:
These wheels were designed to be a direct, bolt on, rub-free wheel for both stock and modified 1 series models.
No spacers, or fender rolling is required if standard 225/40/18's are mounted up front, and a 255/35/18's are mounted in the rear.
Cars with suspensions set extremely low, those running r-compounds, or wider then recommended tire sizes can/may have front or rear rubbing issues.
Please ask us for fitment advice if you are concerned about your specific application. For wide tire setups we recommend the APEX ARC-8 wheel.

Strength:
These wheels are fully VIA and JWL certified with a load rating of 1580lbs. VIA certificate numbers are listed in post #58.
Don't be fooled by competitors that claim to be certified, but cannot provide registration numbers.
There are vendors on this forum selling wheels that are not certified, yet they claim they are. Ask for certification numbers!

Sorry, we can't get pictures of color combos like that until a customer shares them with us.

We did update the post above with studio shots. You could photoshop them onto your car for a general idea.

Thanks for the calls and PM's.

Yes, these wheels fit without modification or camber plates even though they are wider and support more rubber. They have 1 series specific/exclusive offsets that allow for proper fitment unlike 3 series offset wheels that compromise proper fitment.

Thanks for the questions. Yes, these require ZERO modification to fit your 1 series. They are the correct offsets for a perfect bolt on fitment.

265/35/18 has a very good chance of rubbing on the fender side. It may just squeak by if the tire runs narrow compared to other brands, but I don't think the PSS runs as narrow as the original PS2. This wheel is effectively 8mm more aggressive then the factory wheel, so if you can image mounting an 8mm spacer + 265's onto your stock wheels, that's about what the fitment would be like (8mm accounts for wheel width increase over stock rears)

We sell a 17x8.5" et40

Can can work on the 1 series, but as normal, tire sizes are limited without camber. 235/40/18 would be the size that would fit properly on those wheels on a stock car
