M235i > M2 Photoshop

Saw this over at the 2addicts board...thought you guys would want to see this...

I like it and as a 1M owner, I feel this would be something I would be interested in. Now the 1 series debuted in 2007-2008 and the 1M showed up in 2011..so I can see the M2 taking the same timeframe to show up..which would put it around 2017-2018.

Thoughts?

Scott provides his feedback on this too...

Expect such a timeframe for the BMW M2.

It's not going to be tomorrow. But the M235i is going to be the perfect current solution ahead of a long wait.

Just putting on the 1M wheels looks pretty hot. Quick photoshop:

Bingo!

Not sure why people don't like the gap between the grilles and hood? I don't think it looks bad at all. Overall, I think its a very subtle design with some attitude. I could sit here and critique tiny things that don't make a bit of difference, but overall, I'd drive the shit out of it with a grin.

I think the market already knows an M2 is coming unlike the 1M story .. So IMO I think we should expect it quite soon after the M235i's launch ..

that render which was posted by OP looks awesome !

I really don't like the butt of this car, even more so when the picture taken is from the side view; behind the rear tires it just gets messy. I hope when/if it comes the M2 will have a radically different bumper and huge fenders to fix most of these issues.

More flared fenders a la 1M and completely different rear view mirrors (from the normal car) and it would make a great looking car this render.

i'm not really digging the rendering. I think the person doing the rendering did a great job....but i just don't think the F22 styling has enough character.....it looks dull. The 1M looked like a badass.....it has personality! This new bodystyle lacks that....

i will still be considering an M2 in a couple years when the details emerge...but i'm really disappointed in the F22 styling.
