What's the battery tray conversion consist of? Is the only purpose of it to allow an 1M muffler to fit? Reminds me of the 318ti relocate the battery conversion from years back.

Finally found a good M3 subframe with no rust and blemishes out of Texas. Should be here in a week or so. Going to have to pickup M rear toe arms and sway bar.

Stock 135i diff for now. Going to save powertrain and engine mods for down the road. Still considering what I want to do exactly. However I'm leaning towards a custom carbon fiber driveshaft when it comes time for that.

Order the last batch of parts, hopefully.
New Front Upper Strut/Shock Mounts, Dinan Camber Plates, M3 Rear Toe Arms, E92 M3 Rear Sway Bar + Bushings, new upper and lower spring insulators, and new subframe mounting bolts. Just waiting for Ohlins to arrive sometime in may.

Under the shift boot it was the only way I could make the 1M boot fit. If you remove some of the DCT silver trim you can slide a manual shift boot over the whole thing.
You can still press the button through the boot however.

Your car is awesome man. Just read through this thread. Really excited to see where it'll go. You've also given me inspiration to finally buy the 1M-like bumper and attempt to rattle-can it!

Awesome! Im still super happy with the paint considering I sprayed it with aerosol cans. I actually am going to be respraying the front bumper with the air gun next week if the weather stays nice, had some fingering / clear coat cracking from dropping it when installing.

Hooked the sway bar and rear toe arms up. Still waiting on Ohlins. Hopefully just a couple more days. At this point I believe every suspension component is being replaced or upgraded.
May have gone overboard.

Had some time today to pull the rear trunk liners and rear seats out. Going to power wash the car tomorrow to clean the suspension and underside up as much as possible.
Hopefully after washing I can get the rear bumper off before it goes on the lift for some time.

Washed underneath best I could. Rear bumper is off. Rear exhaust solenoid disconnected and taken out. Tomorrow she's on the lift.

Good chunk of work done today. Battery tray out, exhaust out, differential disconnected from the driveshaft anddd... I didn't have a single line wrench to disconnect the brake lines. off to find a set tonight and hopefully get the rear dropped tomorrow to start assembling the M3 rear to go up.

Rear is out and down.
Broke a end link bolt inside the knuckle. Should be fun to get out. Thankfully I have a good bite to work with.

Ugh that bolt is going to be a PITA. Lucky there's so much left to grab on to! Great work man do you plan to do the body work yourself?
