Trim for 135i black on Oyster

BMW charges for high gloss black trim on the 135i, I guess they see it as a tasteless choice for a not so common car.

The standard(recommended) trim on a 135i at least in Australia is Glacial Silver but I am worried it will look cheap with the Oyster interior.

They also charge for Glacial Silver on all other models as its a sporty look I guess.

What are everyone's thoughts, I am set on black on Oyster but undecided on trim.

I am stuck between High Gloss Black and Glacial Silver. Anyone have either with oyster?

And yea leather is standard in Australia to protect the BMW prestige image here, the base price of the 1 series here reflects the extras that are built in (electric seats etc).

Personally I don't think that either choice will make the interior look cheap. I feel that the High-Gloss Black will complement the black exterior oyster interior better. Are you going with the M-Sport package? If you are I would especially say gloss black. There is a case for the glacier silver with the non M-Sport steering wheel since I feel with the silver on the regular wheel, the glacier would match better.

Yea M sport, steering wheel etc.

I think their recommendations in the brochure are too lax.

I saw a listing for a black on lemon(very close to oyster) 135i locally. It had gloss black trim and I must say it looked amazing in the pictures. It's a very classy combination. I personally think the silver trim will clash a bit with the black and oyster interior.

Garage List
Given the choice with an Oyster interior (which I almost got) I'd go for the gloss black.

2nd choice would be the Poplar Grey - which I have - it looks fantastic. You'll love it.

Thanks, I think the GP looks nice but its just not me, I like understated style, I dont really understand the concept of needing to break up the blacks heh.

I definitely like it over the aluminium though which I think is clashy.

I know if I call up I could most likely get it built HGB because the brochure has a typo
but I dont feel that strongly about it at the moment.
