Subwoofers in e82?? 2013
I have a 2013 128i (e82) and want to explore my options in getting a subwoofer. I don't necessarily want to do the option where I replace my current speakers, cause they provide nice ass sound and nice bass already, not sure how much of an upgrade it'll actually be, looking to get a subwoofer in the trunk and use my current radio

I did the upgrade of the underseat subs with the Focals. There are other manufacturer options out there for replacement subs. After doing this upgrade, I don't have any desire to add a sub in the trunk and lose the trunk space.
And what made this all work so well is to get an upgraded amp along with the matching Focal tweeter/mids. Everything was dialed in via the work GeoffS did in having his car dialed in via a professional and then he personally tweaked later. I paid for his sound file that is used in the Bimmertech amp. Doing the subs without doing the tweeter/mids is not addressing the audio problem. The stock tweeter/mids just plain suck. Driving them with a better amp helped a little but I couldn't deal with the distortion that was still there. |
