Interesting, too bad it's in German, but they do offer English to the right. At least I know now that I have Boston Leather.

Pretty cool just curious to what is "S570A Stronger power supply" I googled it and nothing really comes up explaining it. Also "S676A HiFi loudspeaker system" I don't remember ordering any upgraded speakers package and I thought I just had the regular system maybe it comes with the premium pack?

Dackel - Thanks for posting this and the sound advice on ditching the RFTs.
After decoding I found that the speed limiter was not installed. S804A How fast have you had yours up to? Regards,

Useful tool if you want to run a quick check on the original factory specs of any BMW car whatsoever you're interested in (your own car, a potential purchase, a BMW you saw at a car exhibition, etc.). It only requires the last seven characters of the VIN.
...oh, and now you can know the official birthday ("Produktionsdatum") and place of birth BMW factory ("Werk") of your BMW.

Or, like with any other thing or topic on the planet, you can just Google your VIN and quickly get that info from more than one source.

S823A - Heissland-Ausführung - Hot-climate version Does anyone know what, specifically, this refers to, i.e., how is a "hot climate version" vehicle different from whatever other designations there are? Is there a "cold climate version" and/or a "mild climate version"?

Mine has the "stronger electrical supply" designation as well. Are there any cars out there that don't have this? If so, what determines whether it is needed?

Option #840 is included in the M-sport or sport options. It will increase the car's top speed limiter from 210 kph to 250 kph. BMW M-sport option code 840 increased top speed limiter (speed synchronisation)… http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...=top+speed+840 Btw a tuned 135i is good for about 290 kph. Ask me how I know this. The S9AAA Aussenhautschutz is that white(or blue) plastic that BMW(and other car makers) put on the outside of the car - to protect it during the shipping process. It is removed during the PDI process.

The HVAC system is programmed differently so to cool the cabin better in hot climates. I know this is one thing the coders over here can mod - bc we just do not get high heat temps over here in DE.

We sure do here in Florida. It was in the mid-90s today, sunny, with heavy humidity. My AC ran on full blast for almost the entire drive home from work this afternoon.

I ran the site thru Google Translate as my German is pretty rusty. My car has an "automatically" transmission and was born on October 22, 2009.
Excellent site. Thanks for posting the link! |
