"M" Shift Knob Question

Hi everyone,

Quick question... I'm expecting my 09 135i to be at the dealer within 1 week (can't hardly wait.)

I have seen the "M" leather wrapped shift knob in many 135i interior pictures floating around the web.

Is that a special order shift knob or is it standard on the manual 135i?

I really hope mine has it :smile:

I am pretty sure that if you get the sports package it comes with the awesome M sports wheel and shift knob. I have it and I love it!!!

Good call ordering the sports package. That does get you the ///M knob on the manual transmission and the great ///M steering wheel. A good number of us have also gone so far as to get the ///M door sills like the Canadian cars have. They don't make the car any faster but they do look better!

I believe you also get the sport seats with the sports package. Extra lumbar support.

Welcome to 1ADDICTS. The ///M-badged shifter ka-nob is part of the Sports package which also includes an ///M-badged steering wheel, shadowline(black) window trim, but, best of all, the sport seats. The seats alone are worth the price of admission.

You will love your 135. Note, though, that if by "extra lumbar support" 1Mor means "adjustable lumbar support," you will only have that if you have ordered the Premium Package along with the Sport Package. The good news, though, is that with the sport seats' range of adjustment, you should be able to place the built-in lumbar support just where you want it. Play with rake, tilt, and height till it feels right. The sport seats really are worth the price of admission.
