New to ista question.

Been getting a random pop noise that sounds like a cylinder misfire. I decided to check ista to see if it had a misfire live data stream.

I found the rough idle data stream.

Appears that cylinder 5 is way different from the other cylinders.

I swapped spark plugs, and coils to seee if the difference in numbers move from cylinder to cylinder. After doing so, I ran the stream. And nothing changed.

What is the tough idle actually giving us?

This has to be an injector issue/ bad compression on cylinder 5?

Odds are #5 is sticking. You can't view live data with ista you'll have to use inpa to do that. And then you can see how bad it really is.

The rough run can only be done on a cold engine, >46*C IIRC.

When you say #5 is sticking. Are you referring to the injector? Cata cleaner help this situation ?

I swapped plugs, and coils. And reset adaption. It got a little bit better.

I have inpa, but it’s in German for the 1 series. On my e39 it’s english, but code read out is German.
