BMW M235 Configuraton, German Site.

This is a pretty cool Configuration tool for the new M235.. Take a look at the Alcantrara Cloth choice for seats. I hope these will be available in the US.

Just today I noticed that configurator is finally ready and configured myself a mineral white M235i with 8 speed sport-auto and cloth/alcantara interior! For fun. Optioned the way I like it was around 4000 EURO cheaper than what my 1M was in that configurator. Base price of the car is amazingly good, at 36 something thousand it is even cheaper than the former price of a E82 135i coupe (in Germany) let alone a 1M, big difference. However, there is nothing particular about that car imo other than these different colors and interiors, exact same stuff of the M135i hatch with a different body.

I couldn't find info about the MPerformance accessories for this car, it is neither in accessories section nor in the price list or catalog, not yet...but must be same as M135i again.

"Variable assist steering" is standard as well as the i-drive screen which are both boring as mandatory equipment imo.

I doubt that cloth/alcantara interior will be available in US by the way, which is sad for US buyers since that is by far the best looking interior and gives spice to otherwise very predictable (read: identical of any 1 series hatch) interior. This car needs all those beautiful cf accessories from the MPerformance catalog as well as different wheels, grills, mirror caps etc. etc. Rear is not at all getting better to my eyes! It needs very different diffusor, spoiler and exhaust tips to look allright. That's what the configurator and its 360 degree view images convinced me.

But, here's the Canadian-market info sheets...no alcantara interior. http://www.2addicts.com/forums/attac...1&d=1385273305

Yes, that's another bummer. Aside from the M3 Speed Cloth, we don't get the cool cloth Alcantara options. I have the Alcantara interior in my ZHP and love it! Stays cool, grippy and looks great after 10 years with the exception of the steering wheel.

My ZHP has leather seats, alcantara steering wheel also worn but just at the top. Previous owner must have been a one hander driver, always at the top. If interested there is a shop out of Georgia (I can find the contact if interested) that totally replaces the alcantare on the wheel. Around $250. They have an exchange program where you pay a deposit and they send you a newly redone wheel and you ship your old one back if you choose.
