0-100
Guys I've ordered some goodies including Cobb, akrapovic mid/rear axle, forge intercooler, Afe dci open box with scoop. Will use stage 1+ aggressive ots map with stock throttle. Anyone here will a similar set up? What do you think the new 0-100 will be roughly.
I've learnt from this forum that ic, intake and aftermarket exhaust could all effect the lower rpm so can the Cobb fix this issue Tks and happy sunday |

Try to emulate what forum fellow M3Power79 (aka the Usain Bolt of the 1M) pulled off in MDM Mode and with stock PS2 tires (and I believe his 1M was still stock back in those days):

Wow; nice technique (and maybe some good ecu adaptation to better exhaust!)

Mine's not a 1M and my car has more power mods but I managed a 3.89s at the drag strip on stock 135i suspension, no TC and street tyres

If so that means more or less 4.0 or 4.1 to 100 km/h (most posts in this thread is km) which is still very good (keeping your mods in mind) but might get even better with sticky tires imo. Could a FBO 1M or a 135i flirt with 3.5 sec to 60 with really sticky tires, I would like to see that. This would be a full second faster than the stock 1M and closer to supercar terrritory.

I actually think my time may be even slightly faster as the p3 isn't calibrated perfectly. It reads 98kph when my GPS reads 100kph so the 3.89 is my 0-102kph time haha. I'd love a vbox run to verify but I don't have access to one =(

OK, now with street tires, that's VERY fast!

Though I wouldn't say I'm the best driver. My 0-100 times tend to be a little inconsistent because my 60ft times are still pretty crappy, ~2.1s. I've managed sub 4.0s just a couple times and a couple low 4s some others. But yeah, definitely the strip is much sticker. I haven't tried it on the street but I doubt it would be able to achieve close to my best times. I'm very curious though as to see how I'll do with my new M LSD

I did a lot of trips down to the snow over the winter so I figured I'd compare my 3 speedos. The stock speedo, vs some iPhone GPS speedo app, vs the P3. At 100kph steady on the speedo using cruise control I was doing 95kph on the GPS speedo app and 92kph on the P3. I remember you got a sub 4.0s run on your P3 though as well didn't you? On the street too if I remember correctly.

I've already tested the P3 side by side with an Aim Solo, so that is the basis for my statement. Until you can provide GPS 0-100 runs, your data points are worthless to me.

Tires always slip somewhat with the road during hard acceleration, up to 20% at peak traction. It's called slip ratio.
For some background you can take a look at this link. http://www.motortrend.com/features/p...ction_control/ I pulled a few 2.7s in my Porsche with a G-Tech. Problem was it was a 3.7 car. Easy to fool yourself.
