Muffler

Hi i have a 135i n54 twin turbo. In the exhast at the way back it has like a sensor or something connectet to the muffler at the very en its a black rubber kind of thing. What is that. Can i just make my own pipping cutting infront of where it bolts run the pipe and go with a borla?? Thanks in advance

Its the exhaust flapper.
Search in forum for Golf Tee Mod.
You can just unplug the main hose from the actuator and put something on it making sure it fits perfectly so not even air can make it through there. A golf tee is recommended or commonly used. Then just attach it with zip ties to a place where it doesn't bother/hang or burn with the exhaust.
