Importing tyres from tirerack, DOT approval?

I know there has been some discussion on the legality of privately imported tyres from US, but I just have to ask agian. How do we know if the tyres from tirerack have DOT approval? I gather that is required for them to be legal here. Thinking about yoko AD08, are they DOT approved?

Just did some searching, it appears that we can run tyres with approvals for either the european, US, and japanese market, and US uses DOT standard. So can I assume all tyres sold by tirerack have DOT approvals, thus legal for oz as long as it complies with the minimal loading for the car?

JD75 can you confirm the yoko's have DOT approval? Thank

Don't know how to add a link on iphone, but if you do a google search on "dot tyre", look up the search result from performanceforum, the last qoute from a guy for toyo australia states that. Not sure how reliable the info is.
