I think she ran out of gas!!!
Last time she moored (outside the Panama Canal) it was only a brief stop -- let's hope this is the same. Last edited by simianspeedster; 04-24-2013 at 12:56 AM.. |

You are lucky. Did you notice there are two cargo ships arriving on the same day very soon? It would suck if the port gets congested with so many cars causing delays.
Yay! |

If it gets to Port Hueneme tomorrow, that's at least a day earlier than the original April 26, so still "early delivery" right? Granted, I snuck on board the earlier boat and tried to save a seat at least for Simian, but ours ultimately was 2-3 days later than expected.
Kitty - don't worry, we'll be long gone before those two boats make landfall May 1 I think it is. We all need to just visualize our cars leaving the VDC...onto trucks, and to our dealers. Then safe and sound, home in our arms (though hard to drive like that). |

I found it super frustrating watching the Toreador moving like a turtle through the Panama Canal but I can't complain since our (Greg and myself) cargo ship already docked at Port H last week and we are just waiting....waiting... waiting... waiting.... 1addicts might be the only thing keeping me sane.

I don't know if this really helps or makes it worse. =P It's nice though to help pass the time and provides a good support group, too.

Kitty - you should check out the slideshow I did of our boat going through the Panama Canal if you haven't seen it already. Is pretty cool.
Here you go, if you click the link it should just play the slideshow. Our boat is still prettier than their boat, but glad to have your cars join us at Port Hueneme. http://www.flickr.com/photos/2493735...221593373/show |

Hi Greg,
I did see a few photos before but I wish I knew about this slide show while the boat was in Panama. I wanted to get on a tugboat just to hurry it through that canal. I am in finishing touches now on BMWUSA.com.......FINALLY. |

She just left Port Hueneme, so the extra (early) day should hopefully help us get through the VPC process a little faster. I'm very hopeful I'll have my car by next Saturday.
Thanks for the ride, Cepheus Leader! |

Congrats!!! That was quick!
My dealer told me that my car was released to transport, but I'm not sure if that means released to the VPC or from the VPC -- I hope the latter. Brunhilde (800 number beer wench) says "Your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel" and MyBMW says "Finishing Touches." My dealer is off this weekend, so I'll find out soon. |
