Program your Radio Buttons for Tasks/Settings (not just radio stations)

If you have iDrive, you are able to assign the numbered buttons on your radio to just about any "highlightable" function in your iDrive system.

Steps to Program:

1. Within iDrive, navigate to the option or task you wish to assign
2. "Highlight" the option with the Control Wheel
3. Hold down the desired radio button for assignment until the notification displays saying it has been saved.

That's it! You've now mapped your first setting.

The buttons are also "touch" sensitive so if you forget what your assignments are simply touch the button without pressing and it will show the preset as a notification at the top of the screen before you press the button.

I don't use all of the available slots but I do use a few. Here's a list of some settings that you might find useful, but you can assign any setting that can be highlighted in the iDrive system:

• Bluetooth connection settings
• Aux input
• Oil level
• Vehicle Status
• iDrive screen brightness
• Split screen
• Screen off
• A frequently used phone number
• A frequently used address/location
• Stop navigation
