Fully Open Lower Grille

I like the pattern of OEM lower grille but it would be nice if the sides of the grille weren't closed off. Does anyone have suggestions? Im not a big fan of the tight mesh from RaceMesh.

I can't see the attached photo, but I assume you're talking about the grille in front of the FMIC.

I recently had everything open, installing a new intercooler, and decided to try to open up the ends of the grill. First, I tried to cut/dremel out the diamond shaped plastic filling for each hole in the mesh... Nearly impossible to do cleanly with the tools I have. So I ended up just cutting out the ends that are filled (while leaving the rim of the grille for attachment).

That's a pretty good alternative... Thanks for the advice on dremeling out the the diamonds; that did cross my mind... i don't think, i want to take on that task.

I swapped the grill.

It's a 1M Rep bumper...
The center grill comes that way, no mods required

I was considering doing this, my plan was to use the mesh off an STi or Evo front bumper though lol.
