Best FMIC for N55!

I know there's 100 threads for fmic's but I'm finding it hard to pinpoint the best for the n55... I'm about to purchase one in a week or two and wanna make sure I get the best.

Also some knowledge/facts/statistics would be very helpful.

Thanks guys.

Define "Best" ?

Easy to install? Best performing? Best built ? ???

Garage List
Best for the money and also one of the more popular ones is the vrsf 7". Handles all the power you can throw at it, fantastic fitment, and really good quality. Minimal pressure drop and really keeps the temps down after multiple pulls. Have run it on every n54 and n55 car I have had, while also recommending it to many friends who also run it with no hiccups.

But "best" means different things to different people...so people will chime in with what they think is best.

Sorry guys; as "best" I mean performance wise... I have a dinan s2 and race exhaust already, going to do the charge pipe, downpipe(s), and intercooler all at once.

Thanks for the feedback

If you want quality and performance, "you pay for what you get:"

Why purchase a BMW? Quality and performance?

I have the Dinan s2, axle back race exhaust so far... Don't plan on doing much more after the intercooler and charge pipe. No real or certain numbers I want to hit... I live in Austin, TX. And I never track the car and probably will not.

A quality 5" intercooler would be the best choice for you.
I recommend Wagner EVO 1 Performance or VRSF 5"

Any of the quality upgrades vendors sells will fit the bill. It really comes down to how much you want to spend, how much quality you want and or how much performance.

A happy medium would be the previously recommended ETS 5". Very good quality and good performance for it's size. I also like VRSF's new 7" HD FMIC. One of the best 7" available and a great price point. Since you are in Texas, you are more prone to heat soak so I'd lean on the side of a bigger core to help combat that.
