Gas shock for CF trunk?

So, I've ordered the M3 shocks for my CF hood, but there's no equivalent for the trunk, that I can find. Some appear to just use one vice two, but doesn't that still put too much stress in one spot? Any recommendations appreciated.

What about the struts for an F22/F87 M Performance boot lid (trunk)? It has the part number 51242466360 and there's only one of them in comparison to there being 2 of 51247304556 on the regular F22/F87 boot lid.

Thx. I ended up just using one of the factory ones and it works fine. Since it leverages the metal part, it doesn't twist the trunk at all.
