18x8 35, 18x9.5 45 TSW on my 135i. Comments?

18x8 35 offset on the front and 18x9.5 45 offset on the rear. So i was really apprehensive about buying these because I've heard alot of people saying on here that i would have to do alot of fender work and or alignment work to get these not to rub. The front tires are 215 35 and the rears are 255 35. After getting them on the car i really think i can fit 225 easily and maybe, just maybe 235. i think 265 would work on the rear as well. This set up is on stock suspension. I started talking about these on another thread because i like the fact that you don't see very many, if any, pics of our cars with different style of wheels. Most are extremely similar. I also like that they kind of resemble the stock wheels i have. Here are a few pictures. Let me know how much you don't or do like them.

Are you sure you're running 215/35 fronts? That's a fair bit shorter of a tire than stock

Yes, they are 215 35 Falken FK-452. I went with that because i wanted to play it safe. Kept hearing that 225 will more than likely cause rubbing issues. They don't look as stretched as i thought they would.

The lip size is great!
The front should run 225 no problem, 235 if you are on stock suspension.

265 in the back is fine too if you run stock suspension....if you lower it..255 you should still rub with that offset.

Thanks! Glad the first comment wasn't a bad one. I am planning on lowering it about and inch. My buddy Loesch came over when i test fitted them and we realized that my fenders are already rolled. He said his are like that too. I've seen alot of people say they needed to roll the fenders. I don't think my fenders could get rolled any more than they are. I'm the original owner and never had it done. at some point i want to post pics of it. Going to keep the 255 on the rear. might go up to 225 on the front next summer. pretty excited to see what it looks like lowered. Someone pulled out in front of me on the 21st of march and messed up my front end. (thats why there are no photos of the front drivers side) i'm waiting until it comes back from the shop at the end of the month to lower it. Thought i was going to get alot more negative comments for how many people have looked at it. Thanks for the comment.

I'm not a huge fan of the spoke style; however it's nice to see other options and I do like how deep the rears are a lot. I give it a thumbs up for being different than you see here---now lower that to eliminate the wheel gap and it'll look real clean!

Definitely look good in person too. Nice choice. Here are a couple pics I took last weekend while we were at the drag strip. That's my 1 sitting next to MuNkY6913's...

Not bad at all!! Never seen these wheels on a 1er but it looks nice!!
I think if you lower it a little it will substantially improve the looks.

I've heard FK452 is pretty round shouldered but surprised with 255 on 9.5 and
look pretty stretched

Thanks for adding the pics! Thanks for the comment! I think the lowering will really change the look in a good way. Cant wait! A few more weeks. The 255's really don't look as stretched as I thought they would. I thought they were going to look different going that skinny but they turned out pretty nice. Don't know about the performance end of the tire yet. Not sure if I've driven 500 miles on them yet. Also got a very, very slight shimmy in the front, think the tires need balanced again.

What do you think?? Lowered one inch and and absolutely no rubbing. no fender pulls or rolls either.

Hey, glad I found this thread. Since 18x8 et35 works without any issues, even after lowering, I'm guessing 17x8et35 should also be fine?

I found a really good deal on wheels with those specs (front and rears) and I'm looking to do either 235/40/17 all around or 225/45 front and 235/40 rears. My concern now is whether the rears would be find.

The rears were rubbing ever so slightly at et45. Really don't know how the et35 will work on the rear. If it's that good of a deal it might be worth it to try it out.

I'm going to try to fit 18 x 9.5 et 40 on the rears. 225 tires. I know it's doable I just hope I don't break my wallet.

Those tires are going to be super stretched. I would try to get 45 if you can.

Haha. Ok. That sounds more reasonable. 255 should be ok if your not lowered and you don't have any people in the back. Might end up needing a slight roll. Might fit ok though. Good luck!
