Looks like it's sporting the same rear control arm and link setup from the Current M3.
Should be the real deal fellas.

This thing is going to be an absolute beast Just hope we get bmw performance-esque seats but somehow I think they'll end up being the ones used in the stock M3 as those are the ones that have been crash tested here in the U.S.

I don't think BMW would put together a GTS package for the 135 with all the development seemingly going towards the M1....not saying it isn't possible, just doubt it at this point. If you look closely, this seems to be the same mule we have seen a few times now--the Sedona mule is the first one we ever saw with the widened suspension, and it was the one doing the cold weather testing in Scandinavia earlier in the year.... The stance is just so squat and wide--it just looks mean!

existing is cut away to allow for larger tires right? It will look even wider from the front. ..........Now I look at the Sedona red pictures and I can't tell. Last edited by ChrisK; 04-19-2010 at 01:38 PM.. |

the stance on that car is insane, a real pocket rocket. Whoever the engineer that beat the beancounter and got this thing into production is a genius and deserves a medal.

Supposedly the rear end is so wide because they stuffed the diff and pretty much the entire rear end from the M3 in there. I wish the front was flared a little more aesthetically speaking but I can't imagine anything to complain about dynamically. I need a lot more money.

I hope they`ll keep the weight down!
I`d definitely give it a shot and would prefer it over the M3 if it is lighter and offers enough power |

I would really like to know the specifications of what is hidden under that psychedelic camouflage, especially to learn how heavy is the car going to be.

nay nay nay!
It would be really interesting to see they somehow price this car between the 135i / 335is / E92 M3...somehow I don't think they can pull that off, UNLESS they decide to price this higher than the current M3. I think that will be BMW's biggest challenge if the car does somehow go into production. Just because there are test mules does not necessarily mean there will be a production version either.

I think I can see a gap between the door and the body part over the front wheel.
see here: Looks like they will, Or change the complete design for the door or maybe there is a lot of 3D cammo on the front part so we can not see the M-Grills Hmmm.... |
