Interior noises after belt tensioner recall
Let me start by saying that my interior has never made any type of noise or rattle in the entire 18 months I've had it. The car was tight as a drum. That being said, I had the belt tensioner recall done about a month ago (they mandated that it be done), and ever since that day the interior - from the B pillar to the back headrests - has made the most annoying creaking and clicking noises. It's so loud that I can hear it over the radio and now it's all I can concentrate on as I drive. Has anyone else experienced this?
(I've already made an appointment to get it checked out - I'm just seeing if something was done incorrectly or if this is the new normal after the recall)

I would take it back and have it checked out. They did something to my radio and its making a noise... I am now almost a week without a car because they can't fix it.

Mine was quiet as a church mouse before the recall, and it is a Vert. After it was completed, I also heard a noise, creak coming from the back. I got in the back seat and just pushed in on all the panels on the side and back, as well as the B Pillars. A few were a bit loose, not snug, and since I did that, not one more noise. Try that, other wise, take it back and let them hear it as you drive and they sit in the back. I am sure you will have it resolved. I hate when that happens.

It is not the "new normal" My 'vert was quiet both before and after the recall (34,000 miles).
Hope it's a simple problem & they track it down quickly. Tom |

UPDATE
I dropped the car off at the dealer at 7am yesterday to have them take a look. I get a call around 3pm with them telling me they heard nothing but asked me to come take a ride with them. Turns out, they left the car in the sun for 7 hours before taking the ride so it was about 100* inside. Of course everything is swelled and pliable and didn't make a single noise. They wanted to keep it over night and try it again in the morning. Sure enough - got the call around 10am. They heard not only the interior noises but also the squealing brakes I had been complaining about for months! They replaced some clips in the panels for the rattling and were discussing what to do about the brakes. I'm a happy camper!

Are your brake pads stock? Cuz mine are the cool carbons and they squeal all the time now, bunch of bs about them being noise free. I even used all the noise-free lube shit when they were installed, twice. Im seriously thinking about going back to stock pads or maybe stoptech pads.

Yeah the tensioner recall should not affect the belt in any way.
@thez99 yes, stock pads. The stock brake pad squealing is a common issue so I'm not sure it will solve your problem.
