Are HPFP failures a thing of the past?

So, I have a '09 135i sailing to me across the Atlantic right now.

When it comes to 1 series problems, it seems the only "common" issue I've seen on this board is with the '08 HPFP.

Has BMW permanently resolved/upgraded the HPFP since this issue was prevalent? If so, can I assume my new '09 135i has the new part?

Actually the HPFP only fails about 1/20 as often as the rear center break light cracking or breaking and falling completely off which is far and away the most common problem.

I saw a used 135 on a lot with a missing center rear brake light! Had no idea that was a common issue though. What about my HPFP question?

I think you may need to search E90 Post for an answer. Not enough 1ers have had them fail and since there are so many more 3ers than 1ers and they've been around longer...

I've looked but cannot find if anyone has started a poll regarding the fuel pump failures and the octane rating of fuel used, fuel distributor (BP, Shell, etc.), and the mileage at failure?

My Feb 09 Build 135i had the HPFP fail @12,230 miles.
Always 93 octane or better and an array of gas stations.
