DW (Summer tire)

Car has had snow tires before but I only drove it a few times in the snow and couldn't stand the idea of ruining it. It was a car ordered/purchased in Milwaukee, WI originally. I am the third owner, purchased it from another guy here who had bought it from Milwaukee and had it in Minneapolis. He also sparingly drove it in the snow.

Some of suspension bolts underneath have slight surface rust but nothing body-wise etc...

Interested in the car. First post here on the forums so no PM privileges yet. I'll shoot you a message as soon as I get those rights.

Metal coolant flange at the front of the OFH. OE part is plastic and is prone to failure.

didn't know there was a metal replacement for that piece, was able to remove and reinstall without damage but i pinch the $10 o-ring verpriced:

Removed by prying flathead on one ear by 5mm just enough to fit tool head, then wedge another flathead on other ear, then alternate between two. followed reverse during reinstall twice.

Depends how old the plastic one is. I've seen one that the plastic literally fell apart in my hand when I took it off. Better to replace with aluminum right away to be safe.

Sold. Off to a good home.

I'll be around (honestly will probably come back for another 1er soon) but will remain active on the e90 boards as well.

Thanks to all who helped make this a great sale. It went to a great fellow forum member who I'm sure will enjoy it.

3pedalguy was a great seller to deal with. The car was exactly as described and ready for a long trip home. Including a stop along the way to visit another 128i 6-speed friend in Chicago, two stops for gas, and one for food, I was home about the time my wife was letting the cat out as the sun came up. A little more than half the distance when I bought my wife's 128i in Austin last year! Got home, took a Virus shower before contact with family, got a few hours of sleep, put the Apex wheels on that passed through another local 135i owner after being sold here by member 2putt a while back. Then I went to work.

Here it is back in the driveway tonight with the bugs washed off. 3pedalguy had a good coat of wax on it so even that wasn't hard to do!

My DMV says I still need a title before I can legally drive it and most of our offices are appointment-only due to virus. Maybe I won't get caught?

I just pulled out an article I did back in 2002 from an interview with 1-series designer Chris Chapman complete with photos of the original CS1 Concept vehicle displayed at the NY Auto Show that year. Hard to believe that was 18-years ago. The car looks just as modern today as it did back then, juxtaposed with the then-current E46 and E39s of that era. I loved it when I first saw the Concept, and I still love it today.
