How can I discover the rank of my 1M?

Given there were 300 or so 1Ms sold here, how can I tell what number out of 300 my 1M is/was? My car VIN is VU28318.

I have often wondered but TBH no idea how you can go about it in a verifiable way.

Punching your VIN into mdecoder shows it was produced 31/5/2012. World production of the 1M ended 30/06/2012, so it should be one of the last few I suspect into Australia.

Mine was produced 28/06/2012, but I don't believe the is any way to officially number for production here.
