You live in TX isnt there 93 at the pump?
You could always purchase higher octane fuel and mix with a lower octane to get a higher octane... thats how the pump makes 89 for you at the station |

Always buy the highest octane gas you can get, from a trusted station. The cost delta between mid-grade and high-grade is small enough that it's worth putting in you $40-60k car. I haven't found a pour-in octane booster that does anything for performance. I've heard of people claiming that some do work, I just haven't seen it myself.

We do have some stations in Cali that sell higher octane fuel (100+). If he has one of those local to him he can always fill a few gallons of that then top it off with the 91.

In Maine, some stations had 91 and others had 93, always had to stop at the right ones. Here in WA, most have 92. Go figure.
