Bay Area 1M Meetup

Hello 1M Addicts!

I've had my 1M for just over a year and would love to meet up with other owners in the Bay Area, to get more involved in the community.

I'm in Oakland, but would be down to meet up anywhere for a drive most weekends, or even during the week if people are in the East Bay.

Or if anyone is down for signing up for a track day as a group, I've gone to a few SpeedSF events and found those to be put on well.

Morgan Hill resident here. Yes we should definitely do some Bay Area events!
I've done tons of autocross with BMWCCA, but they've all been shut down due to COVID.

I was considering signing up for a Laguna track day in March with NCRC... I have no track experience, so pretty indifferent/uninformed between NCRC or SpeedSF.
Any idea how SpeedSF is for first day on a track?

I am also in the East Bay area and have only had my 1M for a few months now. I'm interested in a meet/drive as well.

Woot, thanks for all the great replies!

SpeedSF has been good for me. They also have an instructor session that you can sign up for. With covid its now just lead/follow. So you can get comfortable being on track for the first time.

They have a bunch of sessions at Laguna/Thunderhill/Sonoma/etc throughout the year.

Could do a quick meetup and drive, there are some nice roads in the east bay, but I'm down for anywhere around the bay.

Sweet, lets plan for next Saturday, January 23rd. Can meet up in SF near the presideo and head up towards Sonoma along the coast.

If you are in the east bay we can meet up near Piedmont and head over the Bay Bridge together.

For this week (Jan 23), think I'll have to opt out as we have a Monterey trip planned.
(It's also a 90min drive for me coming up from the South Bay to even get to the presidio)

Not a 1M owner, just lowly 135 here, still would be interested to see a whole bunch of 1Ms meeting up though. Cool there are a handful of owners in the area.

Purchased 135is ... car currently enroute.

They also have an instructor session that you can sign up for. With covid its now just lead/follow. So you can get comfortable being on track for the first time.
