I checked out the M3 Sedan on the configurator and didn't see much difference in terms of specs. Do you know roughly what's missing?

wayne, the MDrive is a programming function for the EDC, servotronic steering and DSC, and the M3 sedan does come with an LSD standard. with the isf at 129, i think the three are very well priced for those who look at cost as an equal determinant.

Hahaha yes, 90% car would be how I would describe it. I am tempted to buy the R35 Prof, but not sure what purpose it will serve for me. I won't take it to the track as I have read enough to know that it is far from bulletproof (albeit fast). I rather get another family car I think. Passat CC looks really nice!

The V6 version of the Passat CC uses the same engine as the R36. But only 4 seats. I want 5 seats. Not sure how much, but given how good value VW products are, I doubt it's going to be that much.

Btw, did you use your friend's R50 to tow a 747? Hehe

wayne, i cracked that joke with him too! but he said that the one that towed the 747 was not an R50 "just" a V10. so i guess this one would be able to pull a 747 that's trying to go the other way!

doc, i guess i'll have to think about your offer. i am desperate and the kids are not too please sitting in cramped cars anymore!

Yeh had a look at the specs on the M Sedan vs Coupe and see that what you are saying is right on! What a rip! If you spec the sedan to the same as the coupe the $ diff is a paltry $7k (including ALL taxes). So to get the $ down to similar money as the C63 they just deleted a few stock options and bang, it's cheaper! Guts effort.. not. An M without those options is not the full monty IMO, sure you can do without the roof but in the coupe it is a n/c option.

Just my thoughts anyway!

Ah that's a big nope!

The purpose of the CF roof is to a) reduce weight and b) lower the centre of gravity, having a s/roof would increase both.

Spotted me sitting in the passenger seat of Smarms 135i today for a while.

First ride in a 135i and I was utterly amazed. The power, the delivery and those brakes! Very impressive
