Yes. You haven't even driven it yet. How do you know it needs to be modified?

Nice find, I wonder how the stock shocks will respond to the springs. I'm hoping for a subtle 1 - 1.5" drop, BMW is known for doing an excellent job in keeping wheelgap at a minimum

Sport springs drop it 1.4 in front , 1.3 in rear. Should sit quite nicely.

But how do you know what needs improving until you've driven it? Isn't this like saying a girl needs a boob job before you've even laid eyes on her?

If he's doing it for the lowering, then he doesn't need to have driven it

I hear what you are saying but springs are a modification done for aesthetics as well as for performance. I just like the look of a lowered car much better. I cant stand the wheel gap. Hence the purchase of the springs even before I drive the car. Im going to slap on 19s as soon as I get the car so lowering is a must.

most stock shocks are not even suitable for stock spring rates. I would never change springs without a better shock. so I'd go for the complete coil over kit

Do you think this apllies to track and street use? I have always changed only the springs on all my cars and have never had a problem with blown shocks or degraded handling over time. Then again I dont track my cars. Stricty street use and avoiding potholes like mad.

I'm too much of a wuss to buy springs without seeing the car IRL. But I will say that they are on my short list of mods. Post up when you have it done!

^^That color hurts my brain but that does look quite nice. Do you know if the sport package on the 135i lowers it anymore?

Unfortunately I dont. My sentiments about that color are the same. I just posted a photoshop request to have that pic duplicated in Alpine White. That would be so money.

Seems like a bad idea to already be buying aftermarket parts for a car that you have neither seen in person or driven, but that's just me..

I would have to say your a little nuts. man after my own hart but a little nuts. I'd personally wait and see what comes available before buying one thing. but then again you really cant go wrong with H&R.

it all depends on the roads you drive and your driving style. smooth roads and and less aggressive driving style and you can get away with more. one problem is you loose suspension travel so a shock with a shorter shaft such as a bilstein sport is always a good idea when lowering a car.

If for whatever reason I end up not buying the 135i (something which i highly doubt), I dont think i will have a hard time moving a set of brand new H&Rs and brand new AA blow off valve for this car on ebay or on this forum or on e90post for that matter.
