E82 rear mud flap discussion thread

Do E81/E87 rear flaps fit E82?

Because ebay claims to have some, and they look pretty similar, but I really didnt look that closely.

Should i just the guinea pig?

I'd be curious if they do. Why the hate for mud flaps?

I think I'm just gonna order an E81 set and see how it fits, and possibly mod it to make it work. They LOOK similar, and they're both "1-series", so I'd imagine that small chunk of the rear bumper is going to be close enough.

Fronts still available for under $30.. if you want them jump on them now before they also become unavailable.

I did that in hopes of finding some rears later on and never found them.

I am super lucky cause my friend who owns the shop I take my cars to sourced a set of rears and just told me he knows people who owe him big time

Try it, maybe with some minimal modifications it will fit.

Mudflaps are good only for old Soviet cars, WRC & Dakar racecars, and... vape boys with stanced STi's or Evo's.

Well Swag, I actually drive my car ... a lot. So they serve a purpose, as intended.
If it's really that bad, they are only held in by plastic pins and i can rip them off at will, or some large speed bump can.

Ripped mine off (fr & rr) after a 1K miles and threw them away. I should have kept them and resold them here. I didn't care for the look, would rather deal with the paint chips, but never got any in the areas they would protect. YMMV.

I drive mine too. It's got stone chips. Don't care. Just like stretch marks on a girl. They're just there.

I put almost 20k mi on my car from the day I bought it, until 365 days later.

I need to protect the paint, and I also just love how the car looks with flaps and good wheel fitment.

If you're asking for votes - mine is YES. I was thinking it was worth $40 to give it a try, and worth it even more if it's not my $40.

thanks- please keep us posted!
