Grinding gears when letting clutch pedal out

Strange issue that im completely stumped with so reaching out to see if anyone has had a similar problem.

I have the GS6-53bz gearbox and am running an ADAMAT twin disc 1000nm clutch:
https://www.adamat.com.pl/en/n54b30-...nm-stage1.html

The issue is that i can change into gears completely fine; depress clutch and engage gear however, when letting the clutch out at the point it starts to bite, there is a grinding noise and then it bites and drives in the new gear just fine.

I was previously running an RTD chassis mount shifter, but returned to stock shifter just to eliminate any part of that potentially being an issue.

pretty lost as to what this is. Googling the issue doesnt really return any results for similar symptoms.

From looking at the photos on that site for the twin disc clutch, the grinding might be expected. If these springs between the center friction plate and the flywheel aren't absorbing everything, it looks like there could be some audible metal on metal sounds during clutch engagement. The F8x M cars' twin disk clutch has the center friction plate fix-mounted to the flywheel via the pressure plate. This looks like a floating friction plate design, maybe to make use of existing single disk pressure plates.
