Does this 10.1 Android eBay kit have everything I need?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/29396876456...torefresh=true

Sorry for the dumb questions here.....as I have been out of the audio/video game for a good 15 years. Anyone have any experience with the above eBay unit? Any idea if it would be plug and play?

I have a 2008 128i with the "HiFi" system and not the "Top HiFi" system.

Not sure about the one in the link, but I ordered this one on Aliexpress and it came with the canbus, and the wire harness, and the radio itself with integrated bezel. I picked the T10 4G-32gb for $221 but if you don't need all that you can go cheaper. It was 100% plug and play with the exception of needing a MOST adapter for my Harman Kardan Logic 7 fiber optics. That was an extra $70. But it's only needed if you have the upgraded system in your car. My car is a 2011 128i.

Note that you will have to get a dremel out and cut off the side tabs of your HVAC control unit for this to fit. I hated doing that but if I ever need to go back to stock those control units are fairly cheap on ebay.

Looks like the basic 1g-16gb model you had in your ebay link is only $131 on aliexpress. No experience with that model, but the one I got (T10-32gb for $221) is nice so far. It's pretty new still though so we'll see how it goes.

I installed this same T10 unit thanks to the good review from turbodriven. Its snappy and works with Android Auto for a seamless integration.

For those wondering, JB4 steering wheel controls work and the app works via USB plugged into the JB4 unit itself. Its great to have all the gauges, logging, code features without having to plug in my phone.

How is your HVAC Fitment? Also how did you run your JB4 Wiring?

Looks good.

I just switched to Tmobile who allows 5gb a month of mobile hotspotting and I'm loving the Android unit even more now with internet directly on the device.

It fits after you cut the side tabs. The controls are then held in by two plastic tabs provided with the unit, too soon to say if it will hold well long term but so far so good. It's all really tight since you move the controls down to the bottom.

I ran the JB4 USB from the DME box through the firewall, it comes out just below the glovebox then you just plug it into the android unit. It comes with two USB cables.
