Installing E90 Powered/Heated seats

So I have a 2008 135i which came with non sport and non heated power seats. I recently bought and installed a pair of E90 powered Sport seats which are working flawlessly it was plug and play. I just realized these seats are also heated (confirmed via donor car VIN and visual confirmation of heated seat modules under the seats). What do I need to do in order to make the heated seats function? Is it as simple as buying the correct HVAC control panel with the heated seat switches? Is there coding involved?

hopefully someone with more accurate information chimes in but on the E46 chassis you had to run wiring to get the heated seats to work.

Thanks! So it looks like in my case since I am going from Power seat to Power seat with heating, all I need is the updated HVAC control module on the dash with the Heated seat buttons and then Code VO $494 into the car. Placed an order for the dash module on eBay to give this a try. Will report back to confirm.
