It's been about a month and a half since I got the update...not a single problem; although I did have reset all my voice commands when they did the update, and that sucked. lol

  • iPod now remembers "RND" setting
  • Car feels more responsive at low RPM

Best of all though, my audio works 100% of the time now.

Thumbs down

I got the update as well, and it has not helped. I get no audio on occasion. I have accepted that BMW will never fix this.

I mentioned this before, and tried to search for the old thread to no avail (30 minutes searching!).

So, new thread.

My audio doesn't work about 40% of the time. No audio at all. No chime on start, no chime for no seat belt, no radio, no CD, no iPod, no bluetooth phone, nothing.

New Window

Excuse the video, it wasn't being recorded with a definite point; just me starting the car before heading off to work with no audio. BMW won't fix it, because while they had possession of it for a week, they couldn't replicate the problem. Any suggestions on a fix would be appreciated. This has been an issue since I picked up my car in December.
Can you let me know what the TSB is or can I get a copy of it somehow? Also, what specific audio problems were you having. SAT problems?

Anyone else still having this issue?

I've had it happen 4 times now. Premium Hi-Fi, 2009 135i. The system either freezes up entirely and does not respond to any button-pushing &/or there is no audio.

I have a 1 hour 15 minute commute from Huntington Beach to LA every day and it SUCKS to not have any audio!!! Getting traffic reports, news and listening to my tunes is what I do for over 2 hours every day. Silence is not an option. I have already taken it to the dealer once for this issue and they said I had the latest software.... as of March 2010... so what gives???

:venting:
Why does a freakin' RADIO have to be tied into the central computer, requiring software updates for crap's sake!!! I want to be able to turn it on, and turn it up. This stuff should be pretty simple.

With this issue and on my 3rd fuel pump, I am really disappointed in BMW's reliability.

You just have to get the software update and you'll no longer have this problem. I got the update in November and haven't had an issue since.
