I have had my SGM with coral since May (almost 9,500 miles) and it looks as sharp as the day I brought my baby home.
I see you are from the Island. Where did you get your 1er?

Went to Habberstadt (sp?). I got my first Bimmer from them so it was a natural to go back. Plus, I had leased a MB from Rallye a few years ago and I did not care for them.

It's been good in mine too. The only thing I notice is a lot of fine dust that accumulates in the seams of my backseat due to the top being down most of the time.

I was originally interested in lemon and my dealer advised me against it so I asked about Coral Red. He said it looks impressive but after a couple of years you begin to notice the leather age and it doesn't hold up as well as black.

After nearly 11,000 miles my Coral Red leather looks the same as day one. Upon returning from an extended trip, I simply vacuumed it, used mild soap on a couple of dirty spots and treated it with conditioner. That plus removing the floor mats and cleaning the entire interior took all of 30 minutes - great for us lazy folks!

I wear jeans every day, and I have had to clean my drivers seat twice in only 3900 miles, seems that the blue jeans bleed thru to the red!???

Mine is garaged, and has only 3K miles since may,..but so far I LOVE the Coral Red.
Keep it conditioned regularly (Zaino leather in a bottle), and dont park it in the direct sunlight if you can avoid it, and your seats should look great for years. also,...taking a little care upon entering and existing so you dont rub the side bolster too much. these are the "weak" spot in leather where the most wear shows up.
