Feeler - White 1M 70k Miles

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Or Best Offer

Item Interest
Finally thinking about letting my Daily Driver go. 2011 White 1M, 70K Miles - All Options. Has some external wear and tear, interior perfect, plus AWRON Gauge (or I can reinstall the stock vent panel).

I have all records and it has only been maintained by the dealer.

The front lip has been repaired 3 times. All are shown in the car fax. The bumper is just too low for Texas Roads.

Right Rim was replaced and right control arm; dump truck dropped a drive shaft.

Dealer low balled me so here I am. Rather keep it than give it to them; just curious what someone one would pay. If someone would want it I could be willing to part ways. She isnt a garage queen. I just actually enjoy driving the thing and putting a smile on my face. I can post pictures for interested parties.

For the interested parties. I will be listing this on autotrader after it is detailed and gone over by my mechanic. All the little nits people will want to point out will be fixed. Clean Title. I am the second owner from 10K onward FYI. Car has been babied for years. But driven every day. I had the OEM extended warranty and maintenance plans and got tons of stuff done at 60K miles. Should be good to go to 120K for who ever buys it.

Curious what the Dealership offered you if you don't mind sharing?

I'm a Pricing guy by profession....so, interesting to me!

I'd think you should be able to pull about $33-35K give or take a few depending on overall condition etc.

Take a look at BAT and see what some of the prior sales have fetched!

GLWS! Let us know how you end up?

shame you are selling.

you need to put a price together and put some pics up. Your details about what's been fixed are fine; but they certainly aren't going to generate any interest.

you should easily be able to get $45k for it....or close to MSRP. but you really need to get a proper ad going rather than what you've posted.

my feeling is you should just keep it...

Tornado1M: I pulled the pricing data, no transactions in the system, KBB data looks to be completely a guess.

10": I will keep it if the valuation is low; my new cayenne is faster than the 1M so I just dont see myself driving it as much. I kind of want a GT4 or GT3.

I will list it on auto trader as soon as the detailing is complete.

OP - ck this link...

https://bringatrailer.com/bmw/1m/

There are at least 10+ 1M's here....,however, not sure one with 70k+ miles.

You can take a mean avg of miles vs price to come up with a range you could expect.

GLWS!!!

give it 3 months....pretty sure you'll be bored of the Cayenne no matter how nice or fast it is!

it's really nice to see someone who has driven their 1M though....you got your money's worth.

i think a good asking/starting price would be $50k obo.

I don't believe $50K is realistic!

I wish it were, trust me...I'd be happy about it

I'm thinking still mid 30's.....maybe 37-38 top of range! Set your sight on 35 and go from there!

GLWS and let us know how you make out!

Just got the car back from the mechanic. Replaced the vanos and timing chain. Once you hit 60K, you will replace most things. I should actually do a high mileage thread so people know what to expect. Off to the detailer now.

Replace most things?! VANOS solenoids (external to the engine block) maybe need replacement at 90-100k. Cooling systems are maybe 80-100k. The eff happened that you needed a new timing chain at 75k????

Not that uncommon unfortunately. I have talked to several owners that have had about the same luck at 60k. I have done the above, plus the typical spark plug and coils under warranty. Transmission replaced under warranty (reverse synchro failed). Timing chain stretched and the vanos timing was off enough to throw a code. Here is someone who actually threw a chain.

Here is a similar recall:

Price will be set at 53K; but debating hard with the hold case right now.
