Apex ARC-8s (version 2 - et 58 in rear, can post full dimensions if needed). I decided on these because they are based on the BMW CSL wheels so they appear oem to the untrained eye, are significantly lighter than stock and not too expensive compared to other options.

FWIW, I am getting a little rubbing when I hit bumps running 235 front tires (because MPS4S only come 235/40 in 18" - I wish they came 235/35, but they don't). I just need a hair of negative camber, which I will get when I add the M3 front control arms in the spring.
No issue running 265s in the rear.

Edit** I wrote 245 front initially - they are 235's.

TR Motorsports C4 in 18x9 et45 squared with 255 Federal RSRRs. Cut fenders with a 10mm spacer up front. If I would do it again I would have gotten 1M fenders or camber plates so I wouldn't have to cut anything.

Really like those little flares you have, very unique look.

This is the first set of 19's I've seen on a 1 series that don't look absolutely ridiculous. The 19inch 313 style wheels I've seen pics of look comical, but these fit great with the slight drop. I can't find these for sale online, do they come in an 18inch?

Came across these wheels on the NC BMW enthusiasts FB site (thank you Adam Beebe) I love these wheels. I had some knock offs on my old e36. I've not seen these on any of the websites I've looked at. Would anyone have a suggestion on any company that might make these? These are the old Schnitzer type 1 wheels if I'm not mistaken.

Really need a good photoshop person to make a pic of these wheels on a 1er...

BTW, the car below is for sale according to the webpage.

Those are somewhat inline with the look of my 207 wheels, but I like these better. Hows the offset and how does it tuck up into the fender? Looks like I might need spacers if I stick with stock wheels...

The offset is 7.5 x 18 front and 8.5 x 18 rear. Work well with 245 rear and 215 front tyres with the fenders in my opinion, no need for spacers. Got a lot of love for classic BMW OEM performance parts

This thread just dominates. Everyone has posted some great wheel options that work really well with our cars.
Our 1ers are just perfect and have aged so well, paired with some killer looking wheels they make them look even better!
If I had money and space, I would want to own all these wheels and just swap them out when the mood struck!

anyone seen a modern BMW style 5 /BBS RC040 oem part 36111182465 made for our e82/88 or e36 reboot?

I found Avant Garde M220 but nothing in rim/bolt size 17x7.5 5x120 et41, contacted for custom option with no luck.

I could use some help with what I really want... even tho what I settled on looks better then what these will look, homage to e30 basket weaves.

No. 5mm spacers, -1.5 deg camber in the rear when it got aligned, front they could only get about -1 with stock components.

Thanks. Thought it was weird the car has a reverse rake, thought the front suspension was elevated by the plates.

Any rub on the front?

So first day I had them out there wasn't time for an alignment and I got rub on drivers side front and rear. Thought it was my fat ass. After alignment, all good! It was -0.07" toe in on the front and -0.10" on the rear, adjusted to +0.15" and +0.14". Big adjustment!

Also, have to mention, new tires (Mich 4S) and perf brakes on at the same time...amazing.
