Solowerks install

So I had these coilovers put in over 1000 miles ago. Going round a corner- great. But the bounce over less than perfect roads- annoying.
I'm lowered just a step above minimum in the front. The rear is about the middle of the lowering range- gives a nice rake looks-wise.

But I'm not happy and not in love with my car now. The shops solution is to raise the front slightly.

Maybe I should have been happy with stock. Or maybe I should have just upgraded to stock "sports" struts and springs. I don't know. Koni STR.T?
Opinions?

I don't think raising the front will do anything unless you're bottoming out. I didn't like the sport suspension that came on my IS, so I swapped it for Ohlins coilovers. The ride is sublime, and I couldn't be happier. I think they're pricier than the solowerks, but my stock sport suspension is just sitting in my basement. Not sure where you are, but it's yours if you want it.

Having a bit of extra suspension travel may help with the ride, but your coilovers do not have adjustable damping. So I suspect the ride is what it is unless there was a problem with the install or bumpstops.

I have them on my 135i and about half an inch lower from the height I used to have. Been good so far, no harsh ride. But I’m about to lower it some more and see what happens.

Debated cheap coils or quality static. Went Koni strt and love it no harshness at all if that helps.

You might be hitting the bump stops but your car doesn't look that low to me. Raising the front might help if this is the case; regardless, it'll give you more travel which is better for ride quality. Can you post a pic of your front coilovers so we can see how much travel you have before hitting the bumpstop?

I've been reading quite a bit about this, and had some members recommend me going with the BMW performance springs and Bilstein struts.

Mine has the M Suspension, but I'm only looking for a slight drop and a little better performance.

I've always done coil overs in the past, but I think the drop they told me I would get with my planned setup will be perfect.

Honestly....even the stock ride height for these cars look pretty good to me. My Corvette sits low stock, but the fender gap was way more apparent than the BMW is. So I give them props for that!
