OEM I/C Hotside Hose Seal Install
Taking intercooler back to OEM for sale,
Found this hotside (green) oring seal broken similiar to the picture below. Sourced a replacement and ill be damned if i can get the OEM hose back into the intercooler to click into place with the clip with the oring on the hose. Am i missing something here? its about 2-3cms off from goign straight in to where it sits sealed. If i take the oring off, it fits perfect instantly. Id rather not do the dodge and leave the seal off..... Any tips / pointers?? https://www.google.com/search?q=n54+...IC4ObVQLovyYM: https://www.google.com/search?q=n54+...IC4ObVQLovyYM: |

I did something similar. I wrapped electrical tape around the threads and used a drop of lube. Slid down into place no problem. Then unwound the tape.
