Correct Spring Location on Front Strut

Hi All,

I posted in the suspension area too but thought I might be more views here as I would like to keep working on this tonight. I just replaced the front shocks in my 08 135 and when i decompressed the springs they both settled on the new shock like this on the bottom. I noticed this was not as far down as when I took it off. Is this something to worry about before I put it all back together? I tightened up the spring a couple times trying to loosen it to settle the end of the lower spring against the shock but didn't have any luck.

Koni STR.T with stock springs.

Thanks,
Patrick
