2008 135i Dinan Stage 2 (With Stage 3 Software)– Silver with Red Interior - Manual Transmission - $17,500

VIN: WBAUC73578VF23068

Located in Louisville, KY. I happy to arrange a pre-purchase inspection and help with delivery.

55,xxx miles, with 4000 miles on a rebuilt replacement engine with upgraded pistons and sump baffle. I lost the engine on a track day in February 2015 in dramatic fashion (see this link for details). The ultimate cause was oil starvation due to track day g-forces. I sourced a replacement N54 with 55,xxx miles and had the top end rebuilt with JE Forged Pistons, Pauter Connecting Rods and an oil pan baffle. This work was done by Autobahn South in Baton Rouge, and I can get you in touch with the mechanic for details. Coils and injectors have been replaced since the engine replacement. The replaced engine was removed for an engine swap (see this link for photos of the swap).

I purchased the car in November 2013 from a friend. He purchased the car in Alabama and replaced the clutch. He planned to turn it into a race car, but decided it was too nice and sold it to me instead. I used it as a weekend car and HPDE car in New Orleans. I have been in Louisville since January 2017 and it has been garaged since then with only light use. Since the engine rebuild in 2015, there are less than 6 track days on the car. Since 2017, there has been only one autocross and only one very wet track day.

Dinan Stage 3 Software (398hp and 429 lb-ft)
Dinan Cold Air Intake
Dinan camber plates
Dinan springs (I think?) with adjustable Koni yellows (no coil overs or camber plates)
Dinan High Capacity Oil Cooler
Dinan Intercooler
Dinan Free Flow Exhaust (sounds amazing!)
Dinan Limited Slip Differential
6 piston Stoptech BBK front and stock calipers rear
N54 Tuning ER Charge Pipe
M3 front control arms
Dinan front and rear sway bars
Dinan pedal covers
Wheels: 18” Apex ARC8 Wheels (18x8.5 ET45 front and 18x9.5 ET62 rear)
Tires: Falken Azensis RT615K+ (235/40R18 front and 265/35R18 rear) (New April 2018 with 1600 miles on them)
BMS Oil catch can
Heated sport seats, no navigation, OEM radio, Adaptive Xenon Headlights
New Battery (September 2018)
Oil and brake fluid changed regularly and every few track days when it was being tracked (before 2017).
Transmission and differential oil changed yearly (last March 2018)

Several spares from the original engine including turbos. I also have an extra set of 18" Forgestar Wheels (not certain of exact size, but perfect for non track tires).

The only issue with the car are several paint chips on the hood and bumper, including a few deep ones. The Apex wheels do not have TPM sensors.

I am selling only because I do not do many track days as I am now flying planes as a hobby. I also recently purchased a 1988 MR2 that keeps me busy. The Dinan handles very well and is an absolute beast when you want it, but it can still be a comfortable daily driver. Clear title in my name. I am happy to work with a pre-buy inspection.

Any head work (valve guides, seals, etc) at time of rebuild? Were turbos done as well?

Not that I am aware of on the valves.

The turbos from the donor engine were used on the current setup. I have my original turbos as spare.

I updated the listing to include:

Dinan Camber Plates
Current tires on Apex - new 04/18 with about 1600 miles on them.
Extra set of 18" Foregstar Wheels - these were on the car when I bought it. Current tires would need to be replaced.

Beautiful machine!
Is the rear spoiler stock OEM?
It's very tastefully done.

Thank you. I am sure I will regret selling it.

The spoiler was on the car when I purchased it, so I am not certain. I bet someone else on the forum might know the details.

Thanks. Any wastegate rattle on cold startup? Also, you have a PM from a friend of mine who's interested.

No rattle that I can tell.

I think I just replied to your friend.

Thanks!
