A second run at Stelvio Pass...

Hey guys,

evolution80 (Andreas) and I want to do another Stelvio(like) Alpine Pass drive this year. The sooner the better! I was thinking like sometime in Sept. That way we have some time to take off from work and plan this out.

I am pretty sure some of you guys would like to join us too!

I'd like to hear any ideas on when and where to drive.

So... anyone up for Stelvio take two?

I can't(won't wait for next year). I'm gonna go with or without you guys!!

We were hoping for a group Hockenheim trip in September, but might be able to do Stelvio. Will have to talk with the wife.

3-10 sept I'm in Paris..

Followed by an exercise mid month to close to the end.

This sounds great to me! I'll be TDY to Garmisch towards the end of September... Stelvio isn't not terribly far from there is it?

Just checked it out. Only 2.5 hours away from Garmisch! Count me in if it's between 23-28 September and it does not conflict with Hockenheimring

That is correct. Stelvio is only about 175 kms from Garmisch.

I have to look at some of my Alpine road books... maybe we can do a new pass in the Stelvio (Italy/CH/A) area.

I won't be able to go.....Sept is way too busy with car problems, the BMW training, a TDY, then Photokina up in cologne, and multiple days of ski patrol training....I'll wait it out for Stelvio 2013......

So the way it looks like I will be going back to the stats beginning of next year. My plan is still to drive to the ring at least one more time and do something fun like Stelvio or Hockenheim with you guys, I will make time on the weekend in September and October. I would prefer Hockenheim.
