All sound gets cut temporary

Hello everyone,

I have a very strange issue with my car audio system. Occasionally I will loose all sound, including the door chim. This usually happens if Im listening to music and I stop and turn off the engine for few minutes (lets say to pump gas) and when i turn it back on There would be no sound at all....But once the car sits for 10-15 minutes, everything will be restored back to normal. (if i keep driving for even 2 hours, the sound will not come back, only if the car is turned off).....very rarely this same thing will happen when Im driving and all of a sudden I will loose all form of sound (but this is maybe 10% of the cases, 90% is the first scenario) ....any ideas what could be wrong?

Also, I am bypassing the satellite radio module if it helps.

Thanks in advance

Sam
